Second Post of the Day

It’s ELECTION DAY! Some folks are heaving a sigh of relief, others are anxious. Waiting for the election results to start rolling in from the East coast to the West. It will be interesting to watch how the networks handle the reporting this year, and if any one network will test the water by declaring a “winner” before all the polls are closed.

I’ve spoken with several people and NOT ONE has indicated that they did not have to wait in a long line at their polling station. [I am one of those "absentee voters" so I just dropped by ballot off in a drop box. How easy is that!?] With so many folks out so early in the morning how will this translate into overall voter turnout for the nation? I read somewhere that the highest voter turnout was back in the 70’s. Perhaps this election will bring out even more people — but it is a shame it has taken over 30 years!

A year in review…

Wow, can’t believe it has been so long. And here I am again taking a blogging workshop with Barry and it seems it is the only way I get any blogging done!  How does everyone else do it?  I see folks who post to their blogs every single day… Do they need a life? Or is blogging their life?

My First Post for a Blog

Hello everyone,

This is my first, and at the moment, only Blog. I’m learning how to use it through an online workshop I’m taking with OTAN and Barry Bakin - the king of bloggers for the ESL classroom. This is just an experimental post and I’m going to try and use different features. Like, can I a photo too?

Hello world!
